The association

The Nieuwspoort association is the informal and exclusive meeting place for journalists, politicians, spokespeople and lobbyists. All political game players come together in the heart of the political power. The Nieuwspoort members can relax in their own ‘lounge’ and enjoy a beer at the bar, dinner or lunch either before or after a chamber debate, meet their guests and read their newspapers at the reading table. Confidential and informal news items are exchanged here in accordance with the Nieuwspoort code: whatever’s discussed can be used in a newspaper, or for radio and television, but the source remains anonymous, as is the place where the news came from. It goes without saying that the ambiance is stylish, the atmosphere is pleasant and the food is good.
